Sabrina Aranda is a proud Chicana, first-generation college student hailing from Hayward, California, where she was born and raised. Her passion for education and community development was ignited during her time as an AmeriCorps member for Jumpstart, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational services to preschool students in low-income neighborhoods of San Francisco.
With 15 years of dedicated service to the Hayward community, Ms. Sabrina Aranda has earned recognition as a prominent advocate and leader. She has been instrumental in shaping impactful initiatives, including the nationally recognized family engagement model for the Hayward Unified School District. Her contributions extend to pivotal programs such as the Hayward Promise Neighborhood, the Community Schools Initiative, and the Made in Hayward campaign. Most recently, she ran for the Board of Directors for the Eden Township Healthcare District, representing Area 4, where she is poised for a successful outcome.
Known for her exceptional ability to mobilize families, inspire students, and coordinate large-scale events, Ms. Aranda has been a driving force in her community. She has successfully secured over $30 million in crucial grants for the greater Bay Area, positively impacting thousands of students’ lives across various domains such as engineering, technology, physical fitness, cultural enrichment, and academic intervention.
